Mae Cyfnod Allweddol 2 yn adeiladu ar y sylfeini a osodwyd yn y Dosbarth Sylfaen. Wrth i’r disgyblion symud ymlaen, maent yn datblygu mwy o hyder, annibyniaeth a dealltwriaeth ar draws y cwricwlwm.
Key Stage 2 builds on the foundations established during the Foundation Class. As pupils progress, they develop greater confidence, independence and understanding across the curriculum.

Mae sgiliau hanfodol megis cyfathrebu, llythrennedd a rhifedd yn parhau i fod wrth wraidd ein cwricwlwm. Wrth i ddealltwriaeth y disgyblion o’r gwahanol feysydd ddatblygu, rhoddir mwy o amser i wyddoniaeth, technoleg a meysydd eraill. Lle bo hynny’n ystyrlon ac yn berthnasol, cyflwynir y cwricwlwm drwy themâu integredig.
Anogir y plant i ddatblygu hunanhyder, annibyniaeth wrth ddysgu a sgiliau uwch mewn amrywiaeth o sefyllfaoedd.
Rydym yn darparu cwricwlwm sy’n ceisio addysgu’r person cyfan drwy brofiadau academaidd ac ymarferol. Ein nod yw ymateb i anghenion y disgyblion drwy ddulliau addysgu sy’n meithrin agweddau cadarnhaol at ddysgu, dealltwriaeth o gysyniadau, a gwybodaeth a sgiliau cadarn.

ENGLISH
Learning in Key Stage 2
Essential skills such as communication, literacy and numeracy remain at the heart of our curriculum. As pupils’ understanding of the different areas develops, more time is given to science, technology and other areas of learning. Where it is meaningful and relevant, the curriculum is delivered through integrated themes.
Children are encouraged to develop self-confidence, independence in learning and increasingly advanced skills across a range of situations.
We provide a curriculum that seeks to educate the whole person through academic and practical experiences. We aim to respond to pupils’ needs through teaching approaches that develop positive attitudes to learning, a strong understanding of concepts, and secure knowledge and skills.
These experiences help pupils thrive in a rapidly changing society and economy. The content of our curriculum is broad, balanced and relevant, and is regularly reviewed.

Mae’r chwe maes hyn yn sail i ddysgu ar draws yr ysgol. Yng Nghyfnod Allweddol 2, mae’r disgyblion yn datblygu dealltwriaeth ddyfnach ac yn cymhwyso eu sgiliau’n fwy annibynnol.
These six areas underpin learning throughout the school. In Key Stage 2, pupils develop deeper understanding and apply their skills with increasing independence.
